Greatest Hits Tour/ A1, Blue and Jeff Timmons

As ive stated in my previous post, I went to The Greatest Hits Tour last February 25 at the Araneta Coliseum. I had known about this event since last year and was really really excited about going here since I’ve never once seen A1 perform live in my almost 12 years of being their fan (they disbanded about two year after I became a fan and I wasn’t allowed to go to concerts before because I was too young). Anyway so I went with my friend Joanne and we only bought our tickets at the venue itself since we were both busy and haven’t decided what tickets to buy yet (plus the limited budget too of course! *wink wink*). We bought Upper B tickets, second cheapest.. lol.. but I think we still had a pretty good view, not as good as the one the patrons had of course but still better, and thank god I brought my binoculars with me then. And I forgot to mention that there was this big screen in front of us~ :D

I didn’t take note of the setlist that each artist sung because I just went with the flow and enjoyed everything. I think this is what people should do during concerts instead of taking videos and pictures the whole time (I admit to doing that before though, haha..). Anyway so Jeff started the concert and performed about 5 songs, 4 of which I’m familiar with (South Border’s Rainbow being one of the song). I think it was during his second song that he picked this one girl from the audience and pulled her to the stage. Then he went on and kneeled in front of her, hugged her, sang with her and lots of other stuff. The audience kept on screaming and my friend was really jealous of the girl, not me though because I wasn’t really into 98 degrees nor Jeff, but that girl was seriously LUCKY.

A1 was the second to perform. There was a few minutes break just before they performed because the stage and the equipments had to be set up again, I’m guessing that each bought their own. I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN THEY CAME ON STAGE. I sang to their every song except the new ones because I wasn’t familiar with those yet, but I love those too just the same~. They sang all their greatest hits (not the whole song though, mostly just the chorus) and I kept wishing for the whole thing to go on forever. Out of all the set, theirs was the longest, and I was really grateful for that! I recorded most off their set but I wasn’t holding onto my camera, I put it over the ledge in front of us, good thing it didn’t fall with all the people that passed In front of us. I was just screaming and singing the whole time. And then during like a rose, Ben had the cameraman come on stage so his face was on screen the whole time!!! He also pulled this girl from the audience and she was by his side while he was singing *JEALOUSSS!!*, I think the girl even got to kiss him too~! Wahhhhh o___o wasn’t t sure though, but Ben looked really surprised then but he was smiling~ I think he was thinking “ohh, youre sneaky~ haha..”

Blue was the last to perform. I thought their set was going to be as long as A1’s but it was surprisingly much shorter. They didn’t have a band behind them unlike with Jeff and A1 and they performed their songs while dancing, which I guess made it a lot more fun (A1’s set was still the best for me though *biased*). They first sung their ballads then they went inside for a bit and changed from wearing their suits to a more comfortable and hip outfits. Joanne and I went to the empty seats during Blue’s set so were more comfortable to dance along with the songs then.. haha.. They also showed the teaser for their new song coming out this summer.

I was really sad that the audience didn’t ask for an encore. Maybe they didn’t know that we could do that? or am i the only one assuming that that's possible?

As we were about to leave I saw the stands outside where they were selling A1’s new album as well as Blue’s greatest hits album. A1’s were sold out and I was really really disappointed when I learned that the albums they were selling were signed ones!! L If only I knew I would’ve bought myself a copy in a heartbeat! *Sigh* And when I got on to the internet I saw from MCA’s facebook page that A1 had a meet and greet too! I WASN’T AWARE OF THAT! *CRIES* Now I’m just praying that they come back here again and have a meet and greet again as well.  Anyway, I really had fun during the concert and would do it over and over and over again if I could~!
